The Mid-Atlantic Environmental Law Center is a not-for-profit environmental law firm that provides legal services to public interest organizations in environmental matters. The Center counsels clients, educates the public, submits comments to agencies, and litigates cases when necessary.

The Center's mission is to restore and protect the environment by providing legal services to help solve environmental challenges in the Mid-Atlantic United States. The Center aims to ensure that environmental requirements are met, and that legislation and regulations are adequately implemented by the responsible federal, state and local agencies.

The Center is located at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, and works in tandem with students in Widener's Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic.

The Center's clients include the Sierra Club and its state chapters, Natural Resources Defense Council, American Littoral Society, Delaware Riverkeeper Network, New Jersey and Pennsylvania Public Interest Research Groups, Delaware Nature Society, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, National Wildlife Federation, and the New Jersey Environment Federation.

The Center has prevailed in numerous cases and has received the Delaware Sierra Club Conservation Award and the American Canoe Association's Green Paddle Award.

The Center obtained its 501(c)(3) determination on June 13, 2000.
