Support MAELC

I Support the Defense of our Environment.

From still-polluted waterways to toxic air pollution, from global warming to vanishing open space, these problems are confronting us now and won’t be solved by more studies.  When action is needed, the Center can be a resource for the community.

When you make a donation, become a member of the Center, or renew your membership, you are saying “yes” to the need for dedicated attorneys to take on the environmental battles at the local and regional levels, as well as at the state and national levels.

The stakes are high, and the Center is eager to take a stand against misguided or absent agency regulation, scofflaw polluters, and harmful sprawl development.  Since 1999, the Center has successfully taken the position that environmental law is only as good as the enforcement or implementation makes it.  And we have pressed agencies at all levels of government and polluters alike to see that the law is upheld.

Recently, Mid-Atlantic Environmental Law Center achieved positive litigation and settlement outcomes in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, and Puerto Rico, while continuing to press for protective standards for air pollutants, streams and rivers in Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, DC, and other Eastern states as well.  Many of the real results for the environment the Center obtains every year just aren't funded by attorneys fees or grants.  That’s why the contributions of our supporters are so essential to the success of this public interest law firm.   Please give generously.

Remember also that the Center is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.  Your contribution will be tax deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
